What you will see here is basically a brain-dump of a Constitutional concept that has been growing in my head for a couple of years now.
Listen to your local news. Look at the “liberal” media and the “conservative” side, too.
Every discussion is about one of 2 things: How much does it cost/How can we pay for it? How many people does it help (or hurt if it is changed)? Almost never do they ask if it is something the federal government is ALLOWED to do.
Constitutionality should be the first question.
I do not expect everyone to agree with me. In fact I hope I get plenty of disagreement. My purpose is not to start a cheering section. My intent here is to provoke intelligent discussion on the state of the US Government and the Constitution. At the very least, I hope I start you THINKING.
